The History
In 2017, Matt Cline founded Restored Ministries to equip individuals and churches to have victory over the epidemic of pornography and sexual brokenness in our world.
Matt has been a leading speaker and coach in Canada on the topic of sexual brokenness since 2014 and has seen countless lives radically changed all around the world through his ministry. He is trained as a John Maxwell Group coach and speaker and is a Gateway School of Ministry graduate.
At first, Restored was mostly an offline ministry, doing in-person coaching and live events around western Canada.
In the summer of 2020, Restored launched interactive online programs while also being featured by multiple media outlets with large audiences. This led to an explosion of growth that has continued to this day.
Men and women from all over the world have now gotten free of sexual addictions and various forms of trauma through the support of Restored Ministries.
The RM Approach
There are a lot of approaches to overcoming sexual brokenness, such as going to counselling, recovery programs, getting emotionally healed, and more. After years in this field and witnessing countless stories, we developed a framework that includes the best of all of these approaches - in addition to one key thing that most approaches miss: the God-given purpose of our sexual desires. This is all unveiled through Jesus-Centered Sexuality.
Jesus-Centered Sexuality teaches the transformative purpose of sexual desire, rather than simply focusing on overcoming brokenness. Most approaches to quitting porn or healing from abuse leave participants without an understanding of God's purpose for their sexuality. Jesus-Centered Sexuality shows individuals how God created sexuality to be a catalyst in establishing a powerful sense of identity, true intimacy with God and others, and in exposing things in our hearts that God wants to heal.
Individuals that get established in Jesus-Centered Sexuality live free of perversion and in the power of the Holy Spirit rather than endlessly trying to overcome their brokenness.
Jesus-Centered Sexuality is transformative for anyone with a sex drive, for those stuck in sexual sin, for sexual abuse victims, and for anyone wanting to mentor others in the area of sexuality.

Our Approach
The transformative power of the Holy Spirit is the main focus in all of Restored's teaching and support programs. Through combining biblical approaches, up-to-date scientific research, and powerful coaching techniques, individuals consistently have safe, face-to-face interactions with the deep pain in their hearts that has been silently holding them captive for years.
Behaviour modification is a minor focus, but godly transformation of the spirit, heart, and mind is where most of the time is spent. This is what leads to lasting freedom, which is the goal with each person.

Meet the Coaches
Matt Cline
Matt lives in Edmonton, Canada with his wife Louise and their two sons. He is the Director of Restored Ministries, while also serving as a Coach and Event Speaker. He has been speaking and leading groups directly related to Biblical sexuality since 2014 and he founded Restored Ministries in 2017. Since then, his resources have reached people in 135 countries around the world.
Walter Perez
Walter lives in Edmonton, Canada with his wife, Alex, and their six children. Walter serves as a Coach, Speaker, and Event Coordinator for Restored Ministries. He is also on his church's preaching team and sits as President of the Board for the PFIC Network. Additionally, he is the founder of The Leader Co., an organization equipping marketplace leaders to reach their full potential.
Gino Pena
Gino lives just outside of Austin, Texas with his wife, Nina. They are the proud parents of three boys. He serves as a Coach for Restored Ministries and brings over 20 years ministry experience. He serves on his church's preaching team and was ordained through Faith Community Church in Wichita, Kansas. While at FCC, he was the Assistant Director of Freedom At Last, a ministry leading men and women to sexual wholeness in Christ
Shawn and Kim Wheaton
Shawn and Kim live in Caronport, Canada. They offer coaching to couples and betrayed wives within Restored Ministries. Together, they raised four children and overcame an 18-month marital separation after the exposure of immense sexual betrayal more than 20 years ago. They have held ministry positions throughout Canada and are excited to see marriages and individuals restored to wholeness in Christ as they have experienced.
